Disclosed are multi-diameter electrofusion output terminals for welding electrofusion fittings with different input pin diameters. Multi-diameter hole size output terminals (2 figure 1) are connected to an electrofusion welding apparatus by output leads (1 figure 1), which can connect to different diameter input pins 6 that are fitted to commonly supplied electrofusion fittings 5. The multi diameters 8 and 9 may be machined to a specific depth to suit the input pin size, associated current carrying capacity and electrofusion shroud 3, and may have a visual indicator (4 figure 1) to ensure the connection is correct for welding differing input pin sized electrofusion fittings. Also disclosed are methods of automatically measuring and identifying the type of electrofusion being used. |
