PURPOSE: An edge barrier film for an electronic device is provided to extend the lifetime of a device by combining thin film encapsulation with glass encapsulation. CONSTITUTION: A cathode is arranged on a substrate. A light emitting layer (220) is arranged on the cathode. A hole transport layer (225) is arranged on the light emitting layer. An anode (230) is arranged on the hole transport layer. The substrate has a device footprint.
