PURPOSE: An air conditioner for an automobile is provided to prevent the sharp temperature change of the air discharged from the case of an air conditioner while an engine is stopped in cooling mode or heating mode. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner for an automobile comprises a case for an air conditioner, an evaporator(104), a heater core(120), and a flow control valve(150). The evaporator and the heater core are installed into the air flow direction in the case for an air conditioner successively. The flow control valve is installed between the inlet pipe(120a) and the outlet pipe(120b) of a heater core, an engine(160), and a coolant pipe(161). The coolant is used as heat storage material or cold storage material. A storage tank(140) is installed in order to store the coolant for saving the fixed quantity of the coolant. The storage tank is installed in series with the heater core. |
