FIELD: weapons and ammunition.SUBSTANCE: projectile comprises a vessel, in which at the side of a tail part along the body axis there is a dead cavity. The dead cavity is made of alternating diameter. The cavity part at the side of the projectile tail part has a larger diameter and in stepwise manner changes into another part of the cavity with a smaller diameter. The cavity bottom may be located in the plane stretching via a centre of gravity of the projectile or at the distance of not more than 0.3 L from the centre of gravity of the projectile towards the rear end, or at the distance of not more than 0.1 L from the centre of gravity of the projectile towards the projectile head. The area of one cavity part transition into another one is located at the distance of 0.31 L and more from the centre of gravity of the projectile towards the rear end. The maximum diameter of the larger part of the cavity makes 0.37-0.85D, and the maximum diameter of the smaller part of the cavity makes 0.03-0.36D, where D - projectile calibre, and L - projectile length.EFFECT: increased ballistic characteristics with preservation of high damaging action and manufacturability of projectile production.7 cl, 1 dwg |
