PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage water heater that can maintain stable operability for a long period of time, and is provided with a plug for reducing the frequency of water leak tests during a manufacturing process.SOLUTION: A storage water heater includes a drain pipe 3 for discharging hot water stored in a hot water storage tank 1, and a drain plug 2 connected to the drain pipe 3, and having a ball 10 for opening and closing water discharge. The drain plug 2 is formed of an inlet path 11 for water discharge, a ball chamber 13 provided with the ball 10 therein, and an outlet path 12 for water discharge. The inlet path 11 and the ball chamber 13 are brought into communication with each other by supporting the ball 10 with a support piece 19 provided in the inlet path 11 and having a communication port 18, and a sheet 14 provided in the outlet path 12. |
