<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate an annular gasket and to intercouple two exhaust pipes without intercoupling a flange and the exhaust pipe by welding, in an exhaust pipe coupling device arranged at the exhaust system of an automobile and intercoupling the exhaust pipes. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust pipe coupling device caulks and intercouples the pipe end 2A of one exhaust pipe 2 and the root part 4A of a first flange 4, and comprises a flare part 6 formed at a given angle with the axes S of exhaust pipes 2 and 3; and an annular reduced tongue part 9 formed by caulking and intercoupling the pipe end 3A of the other exhaust pipe 3 and the root part 7A of a second flange 7 and at a given angle with the axes S of the exhaust pipes 2 and 3 and opposite to the flare part 6. Surfaces 6A and 9A positioned opposite to the flare part 6 and the annular reduced tongue part 9 are brought into a contact state.</p> |
