摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal identification device that determines with high accuracy a carrier mode applied to a received signal.SOLUTION: The signal identification device can make at a transmitting side a choice between a multicarrier transmission and a single carrier transmission, and a transmitted signal identifies a carrier mode applied to a received signal at a receiving side communication device of a data transmission system employing a configuration inserting control information including carrier mode information therein. The signal identification device comprises information extraction means, reference signal generation means, correlation operation means and mode determination means. The information extraction means extracts the control information from the received signal. The reference signal generation means generates a plurality of reference signals respectively corresponding to bit patterns possibly taken by the control information. The correlation operation means carries out correlation operation using a reference signal generated by the reference signal generation means and the control information. The mode determination means determines the carrier mode on the basis of correlation value calculated by the correlation operation means.
