PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for manufacturing pyrrole derivatives having a substituent such as an alkyl group on a &bgr; position.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing pyrrole derivatives expressed by general formula (3) includes reacting a pyrrole expressed by general formula (1), a carbonyl compound expressed by general formula (2) and a nucleophilic donator in the presence of a fluorine-containing Bronsted acid. In the formulas, Ris a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group, an aryl group, an arylalkyl group, an alkylaryl group or a trialkylsilyl group; Rand Rare each independently a hydrogen atom, or an aliphatic group which may have a substitution group, an aryl group or a heteroaryl group, and they may mutually bond to form a ring; and X is a monovalent group derived from nucleophilic species. |
