PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that more accurately detects a screen frame and performs trapezoidal distortion correction, and further to provide a technique that can check a video subjected to the trapezoidal distortion correction even while detection of the screen frame is being performed.SOLUTION: An image processing device performs the steps of: superimposing a measurement pattern PT1 having a predetermined shape on an L-shaped black area and outputting the measurement pattern PT1 superimposed thereon to a liquid crystal panel 130; detecting a pattern from a pattern image imaged; detecting straight lines on the basis of an image of a screen frame SCF in the pattern image; calculating a coordinate conversion coefficient for converting camera coordinates in the image imaged to panel coordinates on the basis of a panel coordinate value of the pattern and a camera coordinate value of the pattern detected from the pattern image; obtaining vertices of the screen frame SCF in the panel coordinates on the basis of the straight lines detected for each corner and the coordinate conversion coefficient and calculating a correction value; and performing trapezoidal distortion correction.
