PURPOSE: A voice support service method of an IPTV(Internet Protocol TeleVision) service and a system thereof are provided to support information of text and image types provided through a website or a TV screen as a voice service, thereby providing user convenience. CONSTITUTION: When position information of a point which is selected by a subscriber terminal(300) is received, a voice service providing device(100) extracts EPG(Electronic Program Guide) information corresponding to a corresponding position and confirms whether or not audio information, which is matched with the EPG information, is stored. When the audio information for the EPG information is stored, the device extracts and provides the audio information. When the audio information for the EPG information is not stored, the device extracts text information for the EPG information and provides the text information as a voice.
