PURPOSE: A stereoscopic display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent the three-dimensional crosstalk of a right eye image and a left eye image by using a multi-layered black stripe. CONSTITUTION: A display panel comprises a lower array substrate in which a color filter (126) and a thin film transistor (TFT) are formed on the same substrate and an upper array substrate which is opposite to the lower array substrate. A pattern retarder divides an image displayed on the display panel in the realization of the image into a right eye image and a left eye image. The lower array substrate comprises a gate line (102), a data line (104), a pixel electrode (122), and a black stripe (140). The gate line and the data line are connected to the TFT and intersect to define pixel regions. The pixel electrode is connected to the TFT and is formed in the pixel region. The black stripe is formed in the border of the pixel regions and divides the right eye image and the left eye image.
