<p>Disclose are a contact lookup method and a mobile terminal. The method comprises: obtaining key information collected by a mobile terminal, obtaining all character combinations corresponding to the key information according to the key information and a keypad mapping table, the character combinations being number and/or letter combinations; looking up, according to all the character combinations, in attribute information corresponding to the number and/or letter combinations in a contact information database separately to obtain information of a target contact, the contact information database comprising information of at least one contact, the information of the contact comprising at least one piece of attribute information, and the attribute information being in the form of a number and/or letter combination; and displaying the information of the target contact on a user interface for a user to select. The mobile terminal comprises a first processing module, a second processing module and a third processing module for implementing the above steps. In the present invention, various types of lookup results are obtained based on single key information, and the efficiency for looking up contact information can be effectively improved.</p> |
