The pressure relief valve (10) comprises an input and an output which are arranged in the valve housing. An axially displaced and guided valve element, over whose axial displacement the input and output are more connectable, is accommodated in the valve housing. A spring element is mounted in the spring chamber of valve housing, such that the spring element is non-positively and/or positively connected with the valve element and/or with an adjusting element. The non-positive and/or positive connection is a plug-in clamp, screw and/or snap-in connection. An independent claim is included for a fuel injection system.
