<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic material container easily extending/contracting an applicator by the opening/closing motion of a cap, and changing the length to a short length when storing the applicator and to a sufficient long length when using the applicator. <P>SOLUTION: When the cap 3 is rotated in the closing direction, a container body 2 is threadedly engaged with the applicator 5, and the cap is moved in the direction of contraction of the applicator.
