PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel multilayer pigment.SOLUTION: In a multilayer pigment based on a glass flake, the glass flake having a thickness of less than 1 μm is coated with an (S1)SnOlayer. The layer (S1) is coated with at least one layer arrangement of (A) a coating having a refractive index of n>1.8, (B) a coating having a refractive index of n≤1.8, and (C) a coating having a refractive index of n>1.8, with the previso that a layer group (A)+(B) may be present in a layer arrangement (A)+(B)+(C) up to four times, wherein the layers are composed of metal oxides, metal suboxides, metal fluorides, metal oxyhalides, metal chalcogenides, metal sulfides, metal nitrides, metal oxynitrides, metal carbides or mixtures of thereof. |
