PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball joint dust cover that maintains, even if diameter difference between a ball stud and a socket becomes smaller, the shape of the dust cover in a bell shape, can prevent a small-diameter opening section of the dust cover from falling from the ball stud, and has excellent durability.SOLUTION: In a ball joint dust cover 6 made of an elastic material, a spherical head section 2 formed at one end of a ball stud 1 is held in a socket 3, a shaft 4 at the other end of the ball stud is clamped/fixed in a knuckle 5, a one-end large-diameter opening section 8 is fixed/held at an outer peripheral surface of the socket, and a the other-end small-diameter opening section 7 at which a reinforcing ring 9 is embedded is held at the shaft. The reinforcing ring comprises a cylindrical section and a flange section extending towards the shaft from the knuckle-side end of the cylindrical section and is integrated with the small-diameter opening section in such a manner that a lateral surface on the knuckle side of the flange section and an inner peripheral surface of the flange section facing the peripheral surface of the shaft are exposed. |
