PURPOSE: A method for observing a three-dimensional micro-structure of an aluminum matrix composite is provided to successively polish the aluminum matrix composite in which a reinforcing material with hardness larger than that of a soft aluminum matrix is dispersed at a constant thickness. CONSTITUTION: A method for observing a three-dimensional micro-structure of an aluminum matrix composite includes the following steps of: polishing one surface of an aluminum matrix composite sample with a 1200 polishing paper (S11); polishing the surface with a polishing solution in which diamonds with the average diameter of 3 μm are suspended (S12); polishing the surface with a silica colloid polishing solution having particles within the average diameter range of 0.04-0.05 μm (S13); repeating the prior steps several times and collecting the surface information of the sample after each cycle; and obtaining the three-dimensional micro-structure by reconstituting the collected information.
