PURPOSE: An external use skin composition containing a Sanguisorba tenuifolia Fisch. ex Link extract is provided to suppress tyrosinase activity and melanogenesis, thereby having excellent whitening effect. CONSTITUTION: An external use skin composition contains 0.001-50 wt% of a Sanguisorba tenuifolia Fisch. ex Link extract as an active ingredient. The composition is used for skin whitening. The composition contains a skin absorption promoting material for enhancing skin whitening effect.
