<p>The present invention provides an SPR sensor cell and an SPR sensor which exhibit extremely excellent detection sensitivity. This SPR sensor cell is provided with a detection unit and a sample arrangement unit that is adjacent to the detection unit, wherein: the detection unit has an underclad layer, a core layer which is disposed such that at least a portion thereof is adjacent to the underclad layer, a metal layer covering the core layer, and a protective layer disposed between the core layer and the metal layer; and the protective layer is configured from a material having a band gap (Eg) of over 1.0 eV and less than 7.0 eV.</p> |
