A task management device is provided that assigns tasks corresponding to a plurality of operators. The task management device stores task information that is included in each task that generates work target information related to the target of said task, the value of said work target information being determined according to the conditions at the time at which the task is generated. On the basis of the task information, the task management device calculates for each operator the degree of task similarity between a newly generated first task and a second task that is already assigned to the operator, and determines to which operator the first task is to be assigned on the basis of a degree of assignment priority that is based on the degree of task similarity calculated for each operator.
