PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unnecessary operation sound in performing moving picture photographing.SOLUTION: A focus adjustment device comprises: a focus optical system 5; a first drive unit 7 that drives the focus optical system, an imaging unit 3 that photographs a subject image through a photographic optical system including the focus optical system; a second drive unit 21 that is provided to the imaging unit, and moves the imaging unit in an optical axis direction by a minute distance; a mode switching unit 13 that switches between a still picture photographing mode and a moving picture photographing mode; and a focus adjustment control unit 2 that performs focus adjustment when the mode switching unit switches to the moving picture photographing mode by using the first drive unit and the second drive unit. |
