PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for obtaining human albumin having a high capacity for transporting molecules to be used for detoxification therapy or cell cultures.SOLUTION: A process for obtaining human albumin comprises steps of (a) performing first dialysis (diafiltration) of a plasma fraction by Cohn method; (b) stabilizing the resulting fraction with NaCl and N-acetyl tryptophan without addition of a fatty acid; (c) pasteurizing the stabilized fraction; and (d) performing second dialysis (diafiltration) of the pasteurized fraction.
