<p>The invention relates to a device and method for managing a water storage tank 20.The tank comprises an inlet 42 for receiving water 40, a first outlet 62 for draining the tank to a drainage system and a second outlet 52 for providing water for usage. The device may have a management system 100 comprising a controller (130 figure 3), an input/output interface (110 figure 3) and memory (120 figure 3) for storing data relating to expected usage which indicates the volume of water expected to be provided by the tank through the second outlet for usage in a predetermined period of time.
