PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly implement a MALDI mass spectrometry of a compound having the lower molecular weight (especially the molecular weight of 500 or less) which is hard to be properly detected if a conventional matrix is used. SOLUTION: The matrix uses a 1H-tetrazole derivative having a structure formula shown in the figure. R is (a) an alkyl group, or (b) a benzene system aromatic series which may have a hydroxyl group, the alkyl group or a halogen element. Since a molecular ion peak derived from the matrix does not appear in a low mass region, the molecular ion peak derived from a to-be measured object is easily identified.
