PURPOSE: A gas compressor is provided to compress gas in the first and second tanks by moving a fluid through the operation of a hydraulic pump without operational noise. CONSTITUTION: A gas compressor comprises first and second tanks (11, 12), a fluid carrying pipe (15), a solenoid valve (16), a drain pipe (18), a fluid supplying pipe (19), a hydraulic pump (21), a high pressure fluid check valve (22), a gas discharging pipe (23), first and second check valves (24, 25), a low pressure gas absorbing pipe (33), and third and fourth check valves (34, 35). The first and second tanks compress low pressure gas (13) which flows in the tanks by turns using a fluid (14) with high pressure and discharge the gas. The solenoid valve is installed on the fluid carrying pipe separately connected to the lower part of the first and second tanks to switch the passage of the fluid. The drain pipe is connected to one end of the solenoid valve and is positioned inside a fluid tank (17). The fluid supplying pipe is connected to the other end of the solenoid valve and is positioned inside the fluid tank. The hydraulic pump is installed on the fluid supplying pipe and compresses a fluid inside the fluid tank with high pressure. The high pressure fluid check valve is installed on the fluid supplying pipe in the rear end of the hydraulic pump and allows the fluid to pass when the fluid reaches a predetermined pressure by being pumped with the hydraulic pump. The gas discharging pipe is separately connected to the upper part of the first and second tanks to discharge the high pressure compressed gas. The first and second check valves are separately installed on the outlet of the gas discharging pipe connected to the first and second tanks. The outlet is connected to the gas discharging pipe to discharge high pressure gas. The low pressure gas absorbing pipe connects the first and second tanks at the upper end of the tanks.
