PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket capable of preventing loss of a cap, and a lighting fixture using the socket.SOLUTION: The socket 2 includes a base 3 having a holding part 32 wherein pins of a light source device are mounted from a direction crossing a longitudinal direction, and a cap 4 displaceably mounted on the base 3 between a closed position wherein attaching and detaching of the pins are prohibited on the holding part 32 and an open position wherein attaching and detaching of the pins are allowed on the holding part 32. The cap 4 holds a power supply connector 21 connected with a power receiving connector of the light source device at the closed position. A slipping-out preventive piece 45 is arranged on the cap 4 as a dropping-out preventive means for preventing dropping-out of the cap 4 from the base 3, and a slipping-out preventive part for preventing dropping-out of the cap 4 by making the cap 4 in contact with a hook-shaped tip of the slipping-out preventive piece 45 when the cap 4 is at the open position is arranged on the base 3. |
