PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect to another gateway node to restart communication.SOLUTION: A data communication system is composed of a plurality of gateway nodes connected to a data collection server, and a plurality of nodes radio-connected to the plurality of gateway nodes; and executes radio communication between the gateway nodes and the nodes by using a basic frame to collect data from the nodes in the data collection server. Each node includes communication timing request signal transmitting means for requesting a communication timing; communication timing response signal transmitting means for receiving the determined communication timing; and a communication timing determining means for executing communication by a time slot of the basic frame at the determined communication timing. The gateway node includes communication timing request signal receiving means for receiving a communication timing request signal from the node; communication timing calculating means for determining the communication timing; and communication timing response signal transmitting means for transmitting the determined communication timing.
