PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce output of an erroneous character recognition result.SOLUTION: A character recognition system comprises: a control unit that determines a reference range for one or two or more candidate characters obtained for each character by reading characters; and a word collation processing unit that recognizes the characters by collation between candidate characters in the reference range determined by the control unit and a word dictionary. The control unit determines the reference range depending on the reading result of the characters. |
