PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device of removing metal ions from an aqueous solution or soil and concentrating it, in the aqueous solution or soil mixed with metal ions, by digesting the metal ions by iron bacteria, discharging the metal ions into a sheath formed by the iron bacteria, and recovering the sheath.SOLUTION: Iron bacteria are added to an aqueous solution containing metal ions, agitated for a fixed time, or the aqueous solution containing the metal ions is made to pass through the iron bacteria fixed to a solid matter or a porous material, and digested to remove the metal ions from the aqueous solution, and discharged to an iron bacteria sheath. The metal ions are concentrated and precipitated in the sheath by deadweight. The precipitate is recovered, or the fixed iron bacteria are recovered as they are. |
