PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder container with a structure which prevents powder from leaking out of the power container when a shutter is closed.SOLUTION: A trunk part 310 has an opening 310a for supplying powder in a powder container to an image forming apparatus; and the powder container has a shutter which is in a closed position before attaching it to the apparatus, and which moves from a reciprocally movable member on the apparatus side to an opening position by receiving force in an arrow G direction toward the opening position where the opening is opened in the state that the powder container is attached to the apparatus and moves from a member on the apparatus side to a closing position by receiving force in an arrow H direction toward the closing position before the powder container is extracted from the member on the apparatus side. The trunk part 310 has a storage chamber 310b more forward than its opening in the moving direction in which the shutter 340 moves from the opening position to the closing position, the storage chamber storing powder pushed by the shutter in the moving direction and being covered by the shutter moving to the closing position. |
