PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal apparatus and an information acquisition method capable of tremendously improving accuracy of ultraviolet information to be acquired and reducing development loads.SOLUTION: A portable terminal apparatus 10 and an information acquisition method include: an ultraviolet sensor 18 for detecting intensity of an ultraviolet ray; a terrestrial magnetism sensor 25 for detecting an azimuth; an acceleration sensor 26 for detecting acceleration; an angular velocity sensor 27 for detecting a revolution speed; and a control part 21 which when acquiring data by the ultrasonic sensor 18, interlocks a GPS function, a terrestrial magnetism sensor function, an acceleration sensor function, and an angular velocity sensor function and guides the ultrasonic sensor 18 to an ultraviolet irradiation direction.
