PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress manufacturing cost of a membrane electrode assembly.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a membrane electrode assembly used for a fuel cell includes the steps of: peeling a back sheet from a multi-layer sheet including an electrolyte membrane or catalyst electrode layer formed on the back sheet; and disposing the back sheet after peeling on one face of a strip-like membrane electrode assembly sheet to wind the membrane electrode assembly sheet together with the back sheet into a roll.
