The device has two rigid half-plates (1) connected to each other and positioned on top of flowerpots or plants. The half-plates are perforated with small holes (4) to allow circulation of air and allow watering of flowers or plants through a drip device. An opening and an excrescence (2) are placed on each of the half-plates in order to facilitate the connection between the half-plates to form a single plate. The half-plates comprise an edge (6) engaging with shape of top of contour of pot (3) of flowers and plants.
