<p>The invention relates to a method for reducing the background specific to a spectrometric system. According to the invention, the method is applied to a spectrometric system and consists in mounting a silicone rubber hose to the head of an overflow nozzle of a liquid nitrogen cylinder - Dewar vessel and in introducing the other end inside a lead enclosure wherein there is a detector, thereby reducing the atmospheric radon concentration inside the lead enclosure by ventilating it, said ventilation being achieved by evaporating the liquid nitrogen in the Dewar vessel and in mounting around a detector and cryostat support, a metal copper coil playing a role in shielding electrically and electrostatically the electronics associated to a spectrometric chain and putting to the ground the system of lead shielding enclosure and some copper and aluminium jackets which plate the lead enclosure at the inside, thereby reducing the background radiation spectrum.</p> |
