<p>The present invention relates to device and method for effecting a random access procedure in a multiple component carrier system. The present specification discloses a method for effecting a random access procedure using a terminal, the method comprising the steps of: receiving, from a base station, a physical downlink control channel order ordering the start of a random access procedure in a secondary serving cell comprised in a terminal; transmitting, to the base station, a random access preamble as a response to the physical downlink control channel order; receiving, from the base station, a PDSCH comprising a random access response message as a response to the random access preamble; and deciding whether the random access procedure has been successful.</p> |
