<p>The present invention relates to a game providing technique, and a method for providing an online shooting game according to one embodiment of the present invention is performed in a game providing system which can connect to a plurality of game clients through a network and which can provide a virtual online shooting game by using a plurality of characters respectively controlled by the plurality of game clients. The method for providing an online shooting game comprises the steps of: (a) providing an online shooting game by setting the plurality of characters to a plurality of opposing teams and arranging the teams in a virtual space; (b) selecting at least one character among the plurality of characters, and setting the selected character as a boss character having a higher character ability value than the plurality of characters; and (c) selecting at least one character among the plurality of characters, and resetting the selected character as the boss character, if a maintenance condition of the selected boss character is terminated. The present invention provides new variables in addition to operating skills by randomly providing an enhanced boss character when providing the online shooting game, whereby a beginner user can adapt to the game in an easy and exciting manner and a user operating the boss character is able to feel a larger thrill and a more realistic shooting experience.</p> |
