PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently discharge a signal charge accumulated in a PD even in a case where the PD has a larger capacity due to miniaturization of pixels.SOLUTION: A signal charge is discharged from a photoelectric transducer by turning on a transfer gate and turning on a reset section at first timing in a shutter operation. Next, a floating diffusion section is boosted by turning on the transfer gate and turning off the reset section at second timing which follows the first timing. An electric signal output to an output signal line is taken in by a signal processing circuit provided in a peripheral circuit section, in a state in which the transfer gate is turned on, and a pixel signal is generated based on the taken-in signal. |
