PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable normal display if image data which does not comply with a set condition is input by a display unit connected to a device that outputs image data, in such a manner as to allow sending or receiving control information.SOLUTION: A projector 10 is coupled to a PC 50 through a predetermined interface. The projector 10 comprises: a projection unit 20 configured to display an image based on image data input from the PC 50; a connection control unit 41 configured to send or receive control information to or from the PC 50 and to execute connection control for setting a transmission condition including transmission channel capacity of the image data output from the PC 50; and an input data judgement unit 42 configured to judge whether the image data input from the PC 50 conforms to the transmission condition after the connection control. The connection control unit 41 requests, to the PC 50, a re-execution of the connection control if it is judged by the input data judgement unit 42 that the image data input from the PC 50 does not conform to the transmission condition. |
