This rotary machining device (1) is provided with the following: a rotation device (2) that supports and rotates a cylindrical workpiece (8) via a rotary support fixture (6); a machining device (3) to which a cutting tool (7) is mounted; and a rotating loader (4) that rotates a plurality of grippers (5). The height of each gripper (5) can be switched between a height at which a cylindrical workpiece (8) is transferred to/from the rotation device (2) and a height at which a rotary support fixture (6) is transferred to/from the rotation device (2). The rotating loader (4) rotates the grippers (5) between an external transfer position (502) facing an external conveyance platform and an internal transfer position (501) facing the rotation device (2). |
