PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Mn-Zn-based ferrite having an initial magnetic permeability of ≥10,000 at room temperature and capable of constantly keeping the high incremental magnetic permeability μ&Dgr; even under application of a DC magnetic field of as high as 33 A/m over a wide temperature range of from -40 to 85°C.SOLUTION: There is provided a ferrite composed of a base component, an additive component and inevitable impurities, wherein the base component contains 52.0-53.0 mol% of FeO, 22.0-23.0 mol% of ZnO and the balance of MnO, the additive component is composed of ≤0.02 mass% of SiOand 0.005-0.1 mass% of CaO based on the total amount of ferrite, and the content of CrOas an impurity is ≤20 mass ppm based on the total amount of ferrite. |
