PURPOSE: A pumping apparatus for a laser diode end-pumped solid-state laser is provided to adjust the arrangement of laser diodes and directions of progresses of laser beams for minimizing thermal lens effects at a gain medium. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of laser diodes (40) outputs a laser beam. The plurality of laser diodes is attached to a mount having a plurality of planes (22) and a plurality of inclined surfaces. A thermoelectric cooler (90) is provided on the top of the mount. A reflector (60) reflects the laser beam output from the plurality of laser diodes. A gain medium (50) is disposed in the reflector to absorb the laser beam.
