PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device configured to reduce sliding noise of a speed reducing mechanism to improve silence.SOLUTION: A speed reducing mechanism 30 includes a gear 31 with gear teeth 31c formed of a resin part 31b. In the gear 31, the resin part 31b is integrally formed on an outer circumferential part of a core tube 31a. The resin part 31b is formed of a resin composition containing 10-40 wt.% of an organic fiber material with tensile strength of 2 GPa or higher and tensile elasticity of 50 GPa or higher. The organic fiber material is at least one selected from para-based aramid fiber, polyarylate fiber, and poly para-phenylene benzobisoxazole (PBO) fiber, and is treated by at least one sizing agent selected from urethane resin, epoxy resin, acrylic resin, and bismaleimide resin. A base resin of the resin composition is thermoplastic resin. |
