ANNOUNCE SYSTEM FOR VISUALLY-IMPAIRED PEOPLE USING IR SENSOR

PURPOSE: A guide system for the blind using an infrared sensor is provided to accurately provide information on distance and direction of a target. CONSTITUTION: A guide system (100) for the blind comprises a transmitter (110) and a receiver (120). The transmitter transmits an infrared ray signal including a binary code used as an identification code. The receiver includes a digital sensor which receives the infrared ray signal transmitted by the transmitter and extracts a binary code, an analog sensor for measuring the intensity of the infrared ray signal transmitted by the transmitter, and an analysis unit which identifies transmitter and produces a distance to the transmitter using the intensity of the infrared ray signal measured in the analog sensor.
