PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-life fixing device configured to prevent sheet separation failure and image noise due to a flipped-up rear end of a sheet, and an image forming device.SOLUTION: In a fixing device, a sheet with unfixed toner carried thereon is inserted through a nip part of a pair of fixing members, to fix a toner image on the sheet. The fixing device brings at least one of the pair of fixing members into pressure contact with the other, and includes a pressure-contact mechanism for adjusting the pressure force and a pressure-contact control part for adjusting the pressure force of the pressure-contact mechanism. The pressure-contact control part performs pressure-contact control to keep a high-pressure-contact state where the pressure force by the pressure-contact mechanism is larger than that before a tip in a sheet conveyance direction enters the nip part, after the tip enters the nip part until the tip reaches a predetermined position downstream of the nip part in a sheet conveyance route, and to release the high-pressure-contact state after the tip in the sheet conveyance direction passes through the predetermined position. |
