PURPOSE: A method for controlling a grinder for rolling equipment is provided to stabilize the quality of a hot rolling process by controlling high spots caused by the over-grinding of a work roll. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a grinder for rolling equipment is as follows. When a grinding order is inputted, a grinding control unit confirms the accumulated number of grinding(S2). If the accumulated number of grinding is more than a pre-set reference value, an overlap position control mode for changing an overlap position is started(S3). The overlap position control mode changes an overlap position by calculating the start position and the end position of two grinders. Grinding is performed(S4).
