PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and a communication method that can optimize equalization such that power consumption will be reduced with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A communication device includes: a signal correction unit for performing signal correction to reduce signal deterioration by transmission of an electric signal relative to the electric signal indicating information to be communicated; a change unit for changing setting for signal correction performed by the signal correction unit; a determination unit for determining whether communication has been established or not by the electric signal which is signal corrected by the signal correction unit by the setting changed by the change unit; and a selection unit for selecting setting by which power consumption is the minimum from settings by which the determination unit has determined communication has been established. |
