PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To complete data transmission in a short time in transmitting data with GPS positioning information attached.SOLUTION: A wireless communication device comprises: an operation unit for accepting an input operation from an operator; a radio unit for transmitting/receiving wireless signals to/from a base station; and a GPS reception unit for receiving satellite orbit information and time information for position measurement from a GPS satellite. When the operation unit accepts an electronic mail creation start instruction from the operator and an attachment instruction to attach GPS positioning information, which is position information on the wireless communication device, to the electronic mail, the wireless communication device makes the GPS reception unit receive the satellite orbit information and time information for position measurement concurrently with acceptance of electronic mail text input from the operator, acquires the GPS positioning information on the basis of the received satellite orbit information and time information for position measurement, and attaches the GPS positioning information to the electronic mail to wirelessly transmit them after completion of the electronic mail creation. |
