PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive system that reduces a loss of an entire system containing a power converter, a motor and the like.SOLUTION: The motor drive system includes: a three-phase full bridge type power converter 16; a motor 18 driven by the power converter 16; a pulse number generator 10 determining the number of pulses during one electric period contained in a drive signal; a voltage command generator 12 determining a modulation rate and a phase angle of a driving voltage; and a pulse generator 14 generating the driving signal. The pulse generator 14 generates the driving signal having a pulse waveform in which a power loss in the power converter 16 and the motor 18 becomes minimum according to the number of pulses, the modulation rate, and the phase angle. |
