摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out and recover an ONU with an abnormal state including erroneous emission of light even if an abnormality or a fault occurs by which the communication function of a protocol defined as a PON system cannot be executed.SOLUTION: An optical subscriber communication system includes: optical pattern signal emission control means for transmitting an optical pattern signal to control an ONU by use of an intermittent pattern of light predetermined independent of a protocol in the case where an abnormality or a fault occurs by which the communication function of the protocol defined as a PON system with the ONU subordinate to an OLT cannot be executed; and optical pattern signal reception control means for receiving an optical signal pattern and for controlling ONU operation on the basis of a command corresponding to the intermittent pattern of the light. The optical subscriber communication system finds out an ONU with an abnormal state including erroneous emission of light by transmitting a search command to each ONU by the optical pattern signal, and recovers the abnormal state of the ONU by transmitting an abnormality recovery command to the found out ONU with the abnormal state by the optical pattern signal.
