PURPOSE: A thin plate wedge control apparatus and control method in a twin roll strip casting process are provided to calculate the thickness of a thin plate in the width direction in real time and select definition of thin plate wedge suitable for the thickness to thereby improve feedback accuracy. CONSTITUTION: A thin plate wedge control apparatus of a twin roll strip casting process includes a thickness-meter(5), a thickness-meter controller(13) and a casting roll controller(14). The thickness-meter measures the thickness of a thin plate(11) in a width direction position by irradiating radiation to the thin plate. The thickness-meter controller transmits a signal to the thickness-meter through a light-emitting signal line(15) such that radiation is irradiated to the thin plate. The thickness-meter controller receives thickness profile data depending on the quantity of remaining radiation through a light-receiving signal line(16). The casting roll of controller receives the thickness profile data from the thickness-meter controller. The casting roll controller controls a casting roll gap cylinder so as to adjust a roll gap in the width direction of the casting roll in order to minimize wedge. |
